Student Chapters

Department of Instrumentation is member of ISOI(Instrumentation Society of India),ISA(Instrumentation Society of Automation) and IEI(Institution of Engineers India). Student chapters provide local forum for its members to meet and exchange their views on technical,educational,professional or other areas of interests.

There are three student welfare clubs under department of instrumentation namely ITC(Instrumentation Technical Club),ISC(Instrumentation Student Club),ICC(Instrumentation Cultural Club). Welfare clubs under the Department of Instrumentation arrange different technical and non-technical events. ISOI(Instrument society of India)

Department of Instrumentation is member of ISOI. ISOI was established in year 1970, with head-quarter at Indian Institute of science, Banglore. It strives to act as link between academic institutions and the instrumentation industry, by organising several programs. It also conducts programs for students and working professionals in the form of short-term courses, symposia and topical reviews.

IEI(Institution of Engineers India)

Department of Instrumentation is member of IEI. IEI is national organisation for engineers in India. IEI has over 0.5 million members from 15 engineering disciplines in 99 centers or chapters in India and overseas; it is the largest multi-disciplinary engineering professional society in engineering and technology world. It is currently head-quartered in Kolkata.

Department of Instrumentation is member of ISA. ISA is a non-profit technical society for engineers, technicians, businesspeople, educators and students, who work, study or are interested in Industrial Automation. ISA is one of the foremost professional organization in the world for setting standards and educating industry professionals in Automation
